"The Beacon"

We encourage all “players” ages 3-adult to get into the “Game” of Regular Sunday school attendance. Participation in Sunday school helps build disciples for our lord and savior, Jesus Christ. It also helps to build a Christian community. Become a Sunday school “team member”, whether that be by attending class to be fed the Life giving word of god, or just in helping out in the classrooms, and ministering to your other “team mates”.
Join us and see what position God plays you in…
If you have not as of yet done so, please see Kathy Bartz to get a registration form (one for each student in Sunday school and K.o.w. ages 3 through 18). This gives us insight into any special needs that child may have, so that we can best minister to the child, and communicate with the families of these children.

Teaching kids how to wisely handle their money is important, and will benefit them as they grow up and become adults. As Christians, we believe that all we own is not ours really, but the property of, and a gift from God. We also believe in returning to God a portion of what He has blessed us with. This is typically known as tithing, and is found in the bible…God even said to test Him by giving back a tithe of the “first-fruits of your labor” and see how he will bless you for it.

At the beginning of Sunday School and during Kids Own Worship, we will be taking an offering for the children who wish to give. If your child gets an allowance or does chores for someone that pays them money, encourage them to give to God by donating at their local house of worship. In doing so they will develop a healthy relationship with money, and how it can further God’s Kingdom.
