David Rogers
Hello, my name is David Rogers.I was born in small town Indiana, but raised locally in Belvidere. Growing up in a Christian home, I was always surrounded by God, but never really realized He was to be so important in my life. In Spring of 1997, I was baptized, but never really felt God’s influence in my life until I was around the age of 15.
As I continued to grow in Christ, He opened my eyes to music, via guitar, and it has since been a passion of mine. Now, I had originally taken two years of piano through my mom, but it never really “clicked”. Since I’ve found an instrument I actually enjoy playing, I felt the call to use my gifts to work for the Lord. That’s why I chose to go to Judson University. While there, I hope to further my knowledge of music, not only of how to play it, but how to praise the Lord through it. But the major I am following, Worship Arts, not only follows how to worship God through music, but through all aspects of life. After college, Lord willing, I would like to be a worship leader for a church. I don’t really care where, and it’s not up to me anyway (hah).
I know God has huge plans for my life, and I’m just hoping not to mess them up.
